At JÓkenyér, we have been working for almost 30 years to ensure that as many people as possible have the fresh, leavened, additive-free baked goods. We believe that all that is needed for bread is a gift of nature and the heart and soul of the baker. That is why we do not use any additives, preservatives or dyes. We make all our fillings - be it for snails, batyubs or cakes - ourselves, we grind the grain for our whole grain baked goods in our own mill and to this day we work with the yeast that the founders brought home with them from Germany. We spend a lot of time preparing our products, because the longer the time spent, the longer a bread stays fresh and enjoyable. A good baker knows by looking, feeling and smelling how long the dough should be kneaded, leavened or baked. This is the expertise, time and energy that is included in all GOOD bread.
